SAVE THE DATE - Virtual Monthly Meeting on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 9 A.M. (CET)

From May 30 – 31, 2022 a two-day international conference will be held at the University of Graz, involving project partners from VISION – Virtual Interface for Smart Interactions Online. VISION provides innovative online teaching and learning tools to higher education students and teachers to meet individual learning requirements, accompany ongoing learning processes and make personalized learning the primary consideration in digital instruction in a pedagogically meaningful and competence oriented way.

This two-day international conference involves a total of three universities and one Austrian technology company as full partners. Other invited guests will include the project’s associated partners as well as the surrounding academic community. The event will focus on the progress of the VISION project and the overall digitalization of education at the local, national, and international level.

May 30, 2022: Workshops at the University of Graz – Institute of Educational Sciences

Workshops will be held on May 30 to explore further collaborative opportunities with the project partners in the areas of research and teaching with an emphasis on digital innovations in the field of pedagogy and digital teaching and learning. In addition to the project partners, university colleagues associated with the project will also participate in these meetings.

May 31, 2022: Presentation Event at the Meerscheinschlössl (15:00 – 19:00)

The presentation event will be held at the Meerscheinschlössl. A keynote address will be given by Lasse Rouhiainen, a best-selling author and international expert on artificial intelligence, disruptive technologies and digital marketing. Mr. Rouhiainen is experienced in giving keynote presentations, seminars and workshops around the world and has spoken at events such as the Mobile World Capital and TEDx. The expertise he holds will be a great contribution to the event.

In addition to the keynote speaker, project partners from Austria, Germany and the Netherlands will give presentations on their role in the VISION project and how it will affect the state of educational technology in their countries and at their universities. Also invited to speak about the future of digitalization in Austria will be Dr. Martin Ebner from TU Graz, whose research focuses on educational informatics. Dr. Michael Kopp, the head of the Center for Digital Teaching and Learning at Uni Graz, will also speak about the status of digitalization at the university and the increased need for the digitalization of higher education, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Lastly, students will contribute their input through a  discussion forum, providing their perspective on the digital tools presented by the VISION project.

After the presentations, food and drinks will be served alongside music and conversation. All those interested are encouraged to attend.
